Muddy’s Murphy’s: New Place, Same Old Treats

After decades sited at the basement of Orchard Hotel, Irish pub Muddy’s Murphy moved to a new address at 111 Somerset, hidden at and around the corner of the building known more for its eateries and supermarket than its shops.

How’s the new place? Besides its odd shaped floor space, Muddy’s still have that cosy friendly Irish pub vibe, with attentive serving staff and football on the screens. Most importantly, the beers like Kilkenny are still cold and smooth, and the spicy chicken drumlets are still the best in town, no contest.

But the truly truly best bit? Not only is it now much much nearer to the bus-stop where I have a straight bus home, its much easier to get a cab from across the street at 313 Somerset than the former taxi stand at Orchard Towers. New Muddy’s? It’s all good…
